Failure is as much a part of the game as success is. When you don’t suffer a defeat every now and then to keep you on edge, winning all the time would get dreadfully boring. Having said that, we’ve all shared moments where we feel like the manager in the following video clip, which is a Dutch TV-commercial from the nineties.
I’m sure we’ve all felt like this before, despite all our careful and meticulous planning, some daft prick out there decides to fuck it all up with some freaky aborration of a mistake. A defender with a back-pass that is too short, your goalkeeper fumbling a cross into his own goal, silly stuff like that. Sometimes it’s not even a players fault, but it’s the board making weird decisions, such as cashing in on your star player.
My current save-game has seen me moving from Querétaro in Mexico to Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors in South Korea because of such a silly thing. Apparently, I was not enough of a club icon to name the new stadium after, despite leading the club to its first national titles ever, as well as winning international silverware. Five years in-game down the crapper… Damn board, I wish I had the option to shoot some of you…

Are you on a quest to have as many stadiums as possible named after you or something? Why jump ship over the name of a stadium?

That is actually the goal 🙂 Have a stadium named after me on each and every continent 🙂

That’s an interesting way to move around and keep a save going. Maybe for the fun of it, since I haven’t left the first continent yet, I’ll incorporate that into my Pentagon save as a side challenge.
What lucky clubs have Merry Stadia?

Right now, Fortuna Sittard in Holland and Temperley in Argentina. Querétaro was supposed to be #3, but I have moved on to South Korea. #3 is hopefully going to be Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors.
